new to forum looking for ideas
Greetings! I'm new to your group and have a project going that your group may be able to help out on. I am building a customized 1947 Crosley wagon. I have a 2.8 Chevy built to 250 hp that I have intended to install in it --- but being a Buick Retiree and the owner of a extremely low mileage LN3 out of an '89 LeSabre + I have read F14CRAZY'* build up of his Reatta on several sites. I have available either a 700R4 or a 5 speed set-up out of an S10 both of which would bolt up.
So thoughts are a Supercharged LN3 with the 5 speed. The car will be lengthened 12" and widened 10" which gives a 50" tread width and a 90" wheel base! Front suspension is a narrowed Fiero and rear is a narrowed Mazda RX7 with front rotors matched to Mazda.
Questions are what LIM can I use to run either the later M62 or a M90 supercharger? I plan on using a wiring harness out of a '95 TransPort Van that had a 3800 in it or is there a better candidate? My 700R4 is out of a '91 Firebird and the 5 speed is out of a '95 *-10 - which one would require the least computer work?? Will Camaro headers bolt up to the LN3 heads?

I thought that maybe at least F14CRAZY would reply to my post!
Does anyone know how a M90 off a Mustang equates to our Gen 3 M90'*?
My build will be RWD. I have extensively read a multitude of posts on many boards and have a good idea how to modify our M90 for my use.
My basic question then would be what modification would need to be done to run a Gen 3 M90 on a Series 1 engine?? I read somewhere that a guy modified a Series 1 intake to put an intercooler between the intake and the supercharger and somehow I have lost the link. Does anyone have info on that?? All new parts will be installed and it will be balanced.
So if you were to build a Ln3 with a Gen 3 supercharger how would you go about it?? As stated in my post I will have a 90" wheel base and 50" track. The Crosley should weigh in at around 1700 lbs.
Yes I know that the newest version L32 would easily be fitted - but - it'* too easy!! I'm an old school old fart! I'm extensively modifying my car so why not the drivetrain too!!

obviously no one is knowledgeable enough to help you in the degree you need. sorry. there are other forums dedicated to the 3800 and it'* engine which may be more helpful.
fwiw a car weighing that little will SCREAM down any track. what suspension modifications are you doing to it?
can we get pics of the car as is?
i think going with a 5pd is a great idea! auto tragik transmissions are the pits generally. plus it'* nice to actually have control of the car. and i would assume it would take the least work to get working. sure you might throw some codes if you use a puter from an auto...
