Maybe you should just send your car to the crusher and get an SSEi or a Park Auenue Ultra.

No, no point. He'* my friend, so I was just razzing him because I have a Park Aveune and our other friend has a Bonneville (but it'* only an SE with SSEi badging - all show and no go).

I think he should get PEM'*. Rockers would be good too, but cost a lot to install and he would need new valve springs because he has 183,000 miles on his springs. Then the heads need to come off, and things really hit the fan.

But then, some times I just look at his odometer and tell him that he'* crazy, 15.0 is damn fast, and at 183k, i don't want him to blow up a car that is in such perfect shape.

In the end, though, I think PEMs would be icing on the cake, take away all his KR, and round out his 3.4 pulley.

Heads don't need to come off to do springs. Put each cylinder at TDC, and do one set at a time.

That or fill each cylinder with rope, or if you have a compressor get the bit the screws into the spark plug hole and pressurise each cylinder at a time.

Just by seeing you MPH you can tell your 60' sucked. With a good 60' and you have a mid to low 14 sec car. What is your track prep? How do you launch?

FYI you have to hot of a plug for a 3.4" and summer time temps. You could go to a TR6 (1 range colder I belive) I run Ac Delco Race plugs that are 1 1/2 ranges colder and they feel great with the 3.4". Although I haven't scanned since I've put them in.

These cars are tricky to launch. You're car is not slow with a 96mph trap speed. That trap speed would yield a mid to even low 14 second time with good traction. Rockers have been the best mod to my car as of yet. I have a 3.5" pulley, magniflow cat, gutted air box, and 1:9 ratio rockers. I may get a 3" downpipe and definitly a FWI. With those mods and a good launch I hope for a 13.9.

None the less, these are rare cars and my be worth some money in the future. I bought mine in rough shape and needs restoration. If yours is in good condition keep it that way. Here is a 0-100mph of my car after rocker installation.
