Default Installing FWI later this week..tips and kinks to watch for?

I'm installing my FWI later this week and I'm just wondering if any of you have tips or kinks to watch out for during the install. (1997 SLE)

Thanks!

you will need to relocate your Charcol canister....or you can totally delete it..Intense did an install on my buddies (SSsuperchargedEI) 98 and they just removed it and put a T fitting on.... he has pics posted on here....you also have to deal with that IAT sensor location....you should move it down close to the filter as you can get it

The K&N RX-4750 has a hole right in the filter for the IAT. Use that and not the prefabbed holes on the pipe if you're using the Autozone rice pipe. It just needs to be enlarged a bit to fit our IAT sensor.

My FWI is in the works. You will need to get the IAT sensor ext. wire
from intense... you will also need to relocate your PCM. I left my charcoal
canister and i am doing something kinda different. whats your plan?

Okay, I just ordered the IAT extender. Hopefully it will be here by this weekend along with the other things.

What does the charcoal canister do?

It recycles fuel vapors and sends them back to the fuel tank.

It is also possible to use the same size wire and a soldering gun and extend the sensor wire Make sure you use shrink tubing to make sure it is covered good.
