Yep I was 19* advance at WOT....

My 91 with lower compression was doing 24* at WOT...
Maybe we have a miscommunication. The timing is Negative 24*. However, I think it'* learning. We romped on it and the timing actually went into the positive side. It pulls pretty hard in the top end and we need to adjust the shift points to maybe 6k or so. We will get the vacuum dohickey tomorrow and install that so we can play around with it.

This is Doug, but Ben endorses this message.

On a side note. The car is getting seemingly stronger. We will need to get those shift points jacked up and get a tune. We want a dyno and we want it now!

Yessir.... timing advance at idle and while cruising is a negative number. However, it goes to the positive side when I reach WOT. We just don't think it'* going far enough into the positive. The car is a little weird right now, so we're going to post scan results shortly.

I purchased the Enhanced GM upgrade for my AutoXray, so now I can see KR, A/F ratio, and a bunch of other stuff. I have no idea if my STFT and LTFT are where they need to be, but we know it'* running pretty lean at times, because yesterday it actually set a CEL with the code "Bank 1, System Too Lean" . The car is parked right now, because I don't want to burn up a piston or anything.

However, we're not getting KR at WOT. We are seeing some KR at low RPM while accelerating under load. It'* crazy, and I'm not sure what to think. The important thing is that we're going to get a scan of the car and post it here, so you tuning gurus can give me an idea of what'* happening. I also believe I have a vacuum leak due to a cracked rubber fitting on the vacuum lines, so it may be contributing to the weirdness.

We will post scan results later today.

Ok, here'* the deal. My scanner doesn't upload scan data to my PC without buying an extra software package for $90 (which sucks, because the next model after mine came with the software free ). I'm not going to deal with trying to download the software right now, so I'll scan the car then enter all the data manually for you guys to view.

I need to know which parameters should be scanned to get the best idea of what is happening. I figure I'll need STFT, LTFT, MAP sensor, RPM, ignition timing advance, IAT value, O2 value, A/F ratio, and KR.

Anything else?

I'm sick of this info being buried in 6 pages of mumbo jumbo, so I started a new thread.

Thanks!
