No, they won't prevent KR or help with that at all. Go OEM. They can handle far more punishment than you can dish out to them.

I see from your signature that you've already installed them and bored over?

Good luck getting 300+ HP out of a Series 1 L67. Only way I can see it with whats out is with nitrous. If someone works on a good cam/IC for a series 1 then maybe 300+ can be achieved but as of now I can't see it.

i do not have the motor built yet it is being bored tomorrow and i should get it back either sat. or mon. i have ordered the pistons through the shop i work at (it is a napa store and shop).

I am also going to go with the stock rings and just say forget the moly

i have been looking in to cams for seriesoneperformance.com but i think they are a little pricy for me right now but we will see what comes my way

and do u know where i can get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator?? i have an air fuel ratio guage in the car and i would like to turn it perfectly so this doesn't happen again!!!!

Is your A:F guage a wide band or narrow band?
If it is a narrow band it makes a good light show but is useless for anything else.

For your setup, you need a NEW 3.0bar regulator. My suggestion to you is that your OEM FPR and/or fuel pump is weak or failed completely.

The stock fuel pump can support 400hp in NEW condition.

u wouldn't happen to have a part number for a 3.0bar regulator and where i can get one if u don't have a part # what kind of vehicle do they come on from the factory if any.

Your stock regulator is a 3 bar, but likly weakened with age.

aight thanks for the info. i will have the shop i work at get me one asap the motor is in the wash tank as i speak and will be ready to go to boring tomorrow morning bright and early!! and i will take until monday i found out i was hoping to get most of it together this weekend but that isn't gonna work out i think i have about another week of work ahead of me
