Why did you dyno in 3rd? You have a limiter at 108.
my teacher said i had to run it in 3d to get a 1:1 ratio otherwise the numbers would be way off. which i think is bs

Bonnies are dynoed in 2nd gear right?
Yes, 3rd gear is definately 1:1 however, 2nd gear is not that far off and much better than running 3rd gear all the way to redline assuming your governor (108mph on L36) is removed. The fuel system is taxed way more on 3rd gear pulls and if you have any type of fueling problem this could be bad. Most people are not out on the highway doing 90-130 runs so why do it on a dyno?
