Where do you live? Depending on where you live you can swap in a different computer altogether and use the donor chip options to run your system. Actually I can get you alot of obd1 info and help. Ill talk to my connection that has done alot of custom obd1 work. I am sure we can set you up fairly cheaply.

Because its still the holidays It will take a little longer but I can get you all the info you need. I think you are in the clear but check with your local DMV about modification options.
