Default headers

i'm confused, why do the SLP headers say "for off road use only"? even though we don't have emmisions testing here in Indiana, if i were to put them on and move to someplace that has testing, would they fail?

It could just be a disclaimer because they have not been tested, or they don't have oxygen sensor bungs, or delete the cat...

Slightly off topic but I have seen many driving lights (like the ones people use to replace their fogs with) that say the same thing. I think it is just a liability thing, but sounds like J Wikoff nailed it.

I think you are thinking on the right track. They are probably marked for off road use just on the basis that they have not undergone the testing to make them legal on the road. Would they make you fail emissions testing based on your exhaust fumes being sniffed by a computer I highly doubt it; but upon a visual inspection I can not vouch for.
