I'm not home right now and to make it worse I'm on dial up...
I have to get a email off to Nelson performance this week as I have yet to hear back from them. If anyone is going to crack it they will. But from what I understand it might cost me a little coin... thats FINE by me because I'll chalk it up as an investment and maybe sell The code lol. I should be able to get home tonight if not as soon as I get beack from Buffalo thursday.
and on the TB I'll check that too

Long ago, I started two topics with regards to the GXP'* Performance. It looks like it might come through now.
Good work, guys. Way to step up. I bet Venom would pitch in on the PCM too. Last I heard it was a 500 buck charge for initial crack work (on average).

I have been out boating since this thread started and what an interesting read it has turned into. Will, first ,.... Sorry for the longwinded reply I made on the strength of a 12 pack. And You make a lot of good points. I was thinking about the tersely worded reply I made earlier and didnt mean to ruffle your feathers. (And as always, what a intelligent way you dealt with my opinionated arse. )But I still feel any delamination of a very directional airflow , purposely striated by the components so well pictured by Really A GXP photos will offset a very little gain that unrestricted flow could achieve considering we have nothing we can do to make use of any more airflow. It is his car yes and things dont happen without trial and error. But I hate to see someone gut a newer car and not really get anywhere. I guess time trials before and after would be great. I dont think much of a report of someone doing something then going on the statements that "ya, she feels so much stronger since I did this or that". I hear that enough about rice improvements, and the multitude of "mechanics in a can" products that line the auto parts store shelves.

why make a car especially one the is performance minded and not make it upgradeable? I mean it would be different if this car was a beast on wheels and its quick dont get me wrong but it has room for improvements! so why make it so you can do nothing to it? it makes no sense! :?

I dont think there was alot of forethought in the matter. Pontiac figured giving th public a V8 in the Bonneville with a N* engine would suffice. Now it is the optional package for the Lucerne. The PCM came with the engine from the Caddy division that is big on low maintainence , and trouble free driving. They should have at least put the 300 HP 4.6L version in our car since she weighs in at near 2 tons. Not sure what the smaller Caddys weighed that used the LD8, but the L37 would have moved our fat bottomed girls along a little better.
If indeed the PCM can be cracked I would certainly step up. Electronics is something I am not that familiar with but I just keep hearing it is not possible. Why does California Hot Rod Fabricators, Mallet, and RSM use aftermarkets if the OEM can be reflashed? I'm all ears on this one. I have wanted to Nitrous fog with individual cylinder injection from the get go but cant get beyond a 75HP boost with a single injector with the present timing. N* builders for sandbuggys/ hot rods go beyond 400HP with lower end components stock and I would love to perk mine up to that level.
