Unhappy fwi intake issues

Been fighting this for about a month now and getting tired of it, I got the intake from sawgunner, installed it and am having major issues. For some reason he car is cutting timing big time on wot with the intake, the tranny shifts odd sometimes and it will even flash the ses at me if I keep trying to push it. We hooked a scanner to it and ran it without the intake and got 20-23 degrees timing at wit with the intake we got 8-10 degrees. I have no idea what the problem could be but it has something to do with the intake, I had no issues before installing it

Thoughts???

Intake shouldn't do that.. it'* very odd. The flashing SES is likely a serious misfire...which shouldn't be intake related unless there'* a different maf that you aren't programmed for etc.

Actually the intake can effect timing. Check the intake air temp sensor. Timing is effected by a combination of MAF, MAP, TPS, IAT, and ECT

some of you may already know about my issues (not the mental ones) with the car as it sets, but for those that don't here goes

I bought sawgunners FWI and installed along with a new o2 a few months ago. since then my mileage has went to crap and the car hiccups and stutters on hard acceleration. I have removed and reinstalled the FWI several times and cleaned the MAF and filter several times as well. the intake shouldn't be causing these issues but it is.

I have also changed the spark plugs, fuel filter and reset the computer (disconnect the battery for 30 mins, all to no avail

I now have torque on my tablet and a way to scan so here'* the first result from scanning the car tonight. torque offers data logging but so far I have not been able to get it to export in a format that makes any legible sense so I just took a picture of what it was reporting

this is what I can monitor with my current software. here is what it lists them as hopefully these numbers make sense to somebody
Fuel trim bank 1 sensor 2...Fuel Trim bank 1 sensor 1...MAF...Intake Temp

Throttle...o2...Timing advance...RPM'*

Intake Pressure...Engine Load...Fuel/Air status

the picture above was the car having ran for about 20 minutes in park a/c on and ambient temperature of 81 degrees, one logged fault which was P0440 evap system. one thing I noticed is that the intake temps seem to be rising rather quick, is this normal?

its been driving me nuts, I wish I lived close to somebody that knew about these things. usually I can troubleshoot a problem but there are so many variables with this one that I am pretty much stumped

Have you scanned for DTC'*? The misfire will be throwing a code, and we need to know if it is on one cylinder, or multiple. Common sense says when you change something and problems start, whatever you changed caused the problem, but we can't rule out the possibility there is something unrelated to the CAI.

If you can't track this down, the simplest solution would be to reverse the intake installation and put back what you had on before. If the problem goes away, we can focus on why the intake would cause it. If the problem doesn't go away, there is something else going on.

It also may be as simple as you disturbed an electrical or vacuum connection while doing the install. Check everything.

No codes besides p0440 which is evap related. I haven't gotten the light to flash in a while but it still stutters and acts odd, but its not consistent

A code would help us understand if it is a single cylinder misfire, or multiple. Go over all your connections (electrical and vacuum) that you might have disturbed when installing the CAI and look for something out of place. If you don't find anything, I would reverse the CAI installation and see if the problem goes away.
