electric fan to act almost as a supercharger?
are you talking about putting the fan into the mainstream of air that goes into your tb? if you are, don't. they sell them on ebay and all over, they are called electric turbo'*. i have found sites explaining how these suck. there is a chance that the blades can break off and go into your tb. that would really suck. also, it says that it can slow down the air flow cuz it disturbes the air. if you just have a free flowing intake, it would work a lot better. i was going to do it a while back, but then i got all of this info on it and decided not to.

There is a possiblity to the fan blades breaking off and going into the engine. But to add to this thought as well, the problem is there is no fan that is say.. 3" big that can flow enough CFM to "out suck" the engine itself. The most these 3" 12V fans (even industrial) can flow is like 200-300CFM. This is not enough for the engine, it would actually be blocking too much air for its air output. Even if you did dual fans, wouldn't matter because not enough CFM could flow and they are not really designed to pressurize but to just flow air, there is a difference.
Those fans are a joke and a waste of money. Just like the $15 performance chip. Or the Tornado. Or the fuel line magnets. Maybe on a 3-cylinder geo metro, but probably not. Still too much airflow.
Don't feel bad for asking, just be glad you asked before you bought it.
