Whats the best software as far as ease of use goes. Basically want to plug it in and it works.
Looked at AUTOTAP, it looks pretty cool but are there any other better options out there?

For laptop I guess I'd say for just a scantool, the best I've used is Autotap. However, I'd go for an LS1M over an autotap just because using a laptop for a scantool becomes quite a PITA over time. A palm pilot doesn't have the loading times and it makes things go a lot quicker.

are you looking for a full blown scanner or just the basics. a few of us have the digimoto. www.digimoto.com
