Default Where to get OBD I scantool???

I am looking for an OBD I scantool for my STE and I'm not having much luck. I know that there are a few of you that have them, so maybe you can help me find one that is reasonably priced. It would be very helpful.

Thanks,

Shawn

You can try to find one on ebay too. Autozone also carries them.

I'm not talking about a code reader. For OBD I all you have to do is use a paperclip for that... I'm talking about a scan tool that I can look at parameters on while I'm going down the road. Basically I want it for KR and O2 readings.

I looked on ebay, only found like 2 and none were in my pricerange. And Autozone doesn't carry them...they just have code readers...which again, is a waste of money cause you can do it with a paperclip.

Thank you Damemorder, that is helpful. I am trying to look for something that is under like $100 though. I was told that I could get one for under 50 by someone, and I can't really afford much more than $100, so I'm trying to find one in that range. If it is the kind that has to plug into a laptop to work, that is fine too.

Call around to different Autozones and see if they have the Actron tool on clearance. If not, have them look it up in their computer and tell you the closest store that has it.

I was gonna say, our Autozone carries them. Most of the time, if they don't have one stocked locally, they'll get one from the nearest warehouse (here it'* Wichita) and usually get it the next business day.

What does the actron tool cost? What exactly does it do? Can it record stuff for later viewing (not really necessary, just a nice feature). And, I can plug it in and view parameters such as KR and O2 readings while I'm driving down the road???

I just want to make sure this will do what I want it to do...otherwise its pretty useless to me.

From what i know, it depends on where u live. All of the local stores around here wanted 210 for it, but i got ahold of someone that lives quite a ways away from me and he got one from his local autozone for 100.
