Question. Has anybody taken the temps of the air? One right behind the headlight & one right before the throttle body(inside the intake).

I've done heat readings at specific speeds with and without the heat shield on mine. Took 2 hours of data to prove how well it worked. The results are posted here somewhere.

Part of my intake research was buying a few e-bay options. They are not too "bad" functionally but they are not a improvement in the HP department.. Actually they are more of a HP handicap but they also create more of a roar sound out of an improved exhaust and they can look ok.

The filter is cheap and small...but the cost is cheaper.

Domestic performance is going to offer a full line shortly that will be cheaper than 200.00 and will look the same and function the same. We also have a full line of CAI boxes that are coming along. We have the 1995 -99 covered and the 1992-1995 sc is almost finished. There are variations but they are covered.

If you hold your breath a bit longer the option list will grow.

Please say you're working on the 2000+ unit.

Well yes the 2000 unit is also being made with specific energy being focused on the ram air box needed for the hood. We are waiting for the hood to be finished before we finish up on the 2000-2003 box.


We have the tube figured out and we have a few different options but I have a primary concern because of a customer who has already paid for the 2000 Ram air hood.

Those are cool. As long as you got the right material and enough time, making one is not a bad idea.

What if instead of going with a metal tube with a oval type filter on the end of it. Stick with the stock setup plastic/rubber material for the tube, but take off the front of the filter box so that now only the square filter is exposed, and that is all you see. Granted you would have to use clamps to hold the filter in the box, but could something like that work? One more question. Do we really need that sensor to be plugged in, or is it safe to leave it unplugged?
