Default Difference between Supercharged and N/A Engines?

Is there any difference in the actual engine itself (block, heads ect. ) . Would I be able to just put a supercharger on an N/A engine? Has this already been asked? Thanks

Ok I think I will just keep modding my 3800 N/A to gain power. After I get my exhaust, intake kit, ignition coils and wires I hope that will give me some gain. No sense in spending all that money to supercharge it. It would be cheaper to buy an SSEI. Thanks for the info!!!

I think you can get into NOS for a pretty reasonable price, too. Don't rule that out.

All my goal is, is to get my engine to the same HP as the Series II, thats all. 205 HP would be all I need. That is my ultimate goal at this point. I dont care if I ever get it over 205, just as long as somehow I can at least get to 205hp or so.

You have a good 'schedule' for the mods. Something i really wanna do is play with engine response and some internals. Dr Jay has done some good things for us Series I guys. I wouldn't mind buying some new rocker rollers, cam, lifters, springs, and maybe do it myself and learn about the engine more. If i have enough money, and the car is paid off next summer i'll do it.

But that might cost more then Nitrous (NOS Is a company). A nice healthy 50-60HP shot would be tame enough on the engine, but i don't know where to fill up my bottle or how much. Problem with N20 is you have to keep buying it!
