It Did Make A Difference
TJ, make sure of the dimensions of the space you have to put your cone filter. I think you're okay with a '95, but on my '97 the PCM sits in the left-front corner of the engine bay, leaving very little room to squeeze in a large cone filter. I honestly don't think an RX-4750 would fit in my car. I had a different 9 inch K&N in there before, and there was no space to build a box around the cone. I had to move down to a 6 inch K&N RX-4730 to make it work, and it was still a tight squeeze. Make sure you have a good idea of your useable space and the dimensions of the filter before you order one.
yea there is alot of room. so putting this on i should be able to feel a noticable difference though? thank you guys for all your help so far since i am new to the whole bonneville thing.
just thought id chime in on the gutted airbox, after i did mine, from a standstill it almost seems to be kinda laggy? but it seems more responsive on the move, but im probably just in need of a tune up...as far as sound goes theres quite a loud noise on cold start...i also have about a 3x3 opening in the front, im sure i did something similart to MOS, i also removed BOTH baffles in the air box, one on each piece of the air box...the engine has a much deeper sound to me now...more throaty instead of whirry at high rpms...if your anything like me youll like it...but other than maybe a bit of throttle response i didnt notice much difference, but do it for the added sound if nothing else, mine quiets back down after a few minutes after start up, cause its REALLY annoying kinda when you first start it.
