I gutted the rest of my air box this afternoon and for the first time I can hear the */C. I like it. I like it A LOT. How much hp do I gain? It feels noticably stronger.

With that K&N filter, I'd say around 10ish or so.

Probably the reason it feels much stronger is because of the increased throttle responce.

It will still make a difference. On an */C car, there'* just more of a difference because those engines respond to mods better.

But go for it. You will notice a change. Get a K&N also and you will feel a better pickup.

so i pretty much take it off and clean the whole inside out so that i have just a clean straight line from the T/B to the bumper. Also doing this will not cause me any problems will it? and what size filter do i need? thank you

I gutted my airbox and I have had no problems whatsoever. I also cut the front end open so that there'* about a 3x3 inch hole there now.

I also removed the MAF Screen. That made a huge difference in SOP feel. Some people say that removing the screen messes up their idle, tho.

what do you mean mess up the idle, like make it choppy?
