Default DHP computer for my 00 SSEi - one problem !!!

Installed it today.
It does everything it'* supposed to and without a performance mode switch.

I went thru the start up security procedure, the car starts but the SES light is on.
Threw a code P1336 ( CKP system variation not learned ). I can't erase it like other codes with my scanner !!

I need to do a CASE learn with a dealership Tech2. Most techs will do it for a small fee.

Something they don't tell you in the sales literature. :?

.....now I have to trust they don't Reflash it.....and it'll give away my mods to the dealer I have my extended warranty with. :(

you must know someone with a tech 2 unit. that would be ur best bet. Also, If you tell them you do not want the PCM reflashed, That would help your chances of not getting it reflashed.

You better believe I'll tell them. I'll be shadowing them the whole time to make sure. Looks like an afternoon off work for me coming up.
I'll have them do it when I take it in to get my fuel gauge sending unit replaced, as soon as the part comes in next week.
Case learn. Case learn. Case learn.
Do not Reflash. Do not Reflash. Do not Reflash.

Hell, I don't even know what the difference is besides the reflash will erase all the performance mods. That'* all I have to know.
Can anyone tell me what the case learn does :?:
What is CKP system variation :?:

The crankshaft position system variation compensating values are stored in the PCM non-volatile memory after a learn procedure has been performed. If the actual crankshaft position system variation is not within the crankshaft position system variation compensating values stored in the PCM, DTC P0300 may be set.

The Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn Procedure should be performed if any of the following conditions are true:

DTC P1336 is set
The PCM has been replaced
The engine has been replaced
The crankshaft has been replaced
The crankshaft harmonic balancer has been replaced
The crankshaft position sensor has been replaced

Also how is the Theft Deterrent system, you may need to get this set up again with the tech 2?
Remember to bring ALL the keys if you get this done.

I thought of another thing since your going in for the tech 2 service.
Get the steering made firmmer, the magnasteer system has 3 settings soft, normal and firm. Default is normal. Also if you want get the dic programmed with whatever you want?

Ya. The Security light is off. Good point on the keys. Thanks.

No. The P0300 code is not set.

Can't tell but if the seat of the pants is any indication, it'* managed quite well now.
The next track visit won't be for another month.
