see if you can get a list or something of all the things that they can change before you go in there. It could be that there is more than the magnasteer that you can change to work more to your liking.
Well I finally got a chance to get to the dealer for a Case Learn to clear the P1336 code and turn off the damn SES light.
Wow....I learned a lot about how to do it and what it actually does !
Also had the DIC personalized with names for Driver 1 & 2.
....and also set the MagnaSteer to Firm from its stock setting.
Doing the Case Learn or Crankshaft Position Variation Learn Procedure is performed as follows:
1) Engine coolant must be at least 158*F and set parking brake.
2) Block the wheels and close the hood (not too sure why you have to close the hood :? )
3) Turn off the engine and connect the Tech2 Scan tool, then select and enable the Crankshaft Position Variation Learn Procedure .
4) Start the vehicle. Ensure it is in park.
5) Increase the accelerator pedal until the CKP system variation learn fuel shutoff is reached. It was about 4200 rpm. Had to do it a few times until the second fuel shutoff at 5200 rpm is reached. The compensating values are learned when the RPM decreases back to idle.
I'm really hoping that this will solve the problem. It'* a little wet right now but I'll let you all know soon.

It was dry today...........so I went for a little ride.
It works much better now. Pulls strong in first gear to 6000 rpm. Firm shift into 2nd gear, then pulls all the way up to redline.
Then when it shifted into 3rd gear, the gear selector was in drive and foot still on the floor, it went up to 4200 rpm and seemed to hit a soft rev limiter at about 110 mph. :?
Too much traffic so I couldn't get into any top speed runs.
It may still need some more time to "learn", so I'll try again this weekend.
If I let it off the floor, it has no problem accelerating to higher speeds.
All the other features seem to work just fine too. The kickdown thrust at low to mid speeds is awesome.
My guess is that it is a low 14 sec car now......and I may keep it that way.
I am like Jim, luxo cruising at high speeds being the Bonne strength.
I prefer drag racing my rear wheel drive Bird and from what I've learned on this site about the weakness of the 4T65E, may keep it that way.
The mileage seems to have improved, now that the fuel gauge is working again.....20 mpg, but it is so dependent on the warm up time that really kills the average.....and of course the lead foot.
Oh and I lost my ram air aluminum elbow somewhere along Hwy 101.....must have blew off at speed. $5 at the hardware store for another. :(

DHP
Still not satisfied.
If I move the selector into 1st and floor it from a stop, it will shift into 2nd gear at 5200 rpm.
If I move the selector into 2nd and floor it from a stop, it will shift into 2nd gear at 5500 rpm.
Only if I leave the selector in Drive will it shift into 2nd at 6000 rpm.
If I keep it to the floor, like to simulate a 1/4 mi run, it seems to hit a limitation in 2nd gear at about 5300 rpm. I believe it to be the fuel limiter.
All the other features seem to work but this is just too annoying.
From what I hear from Rogue with 8-Ball, INTENSE seems to have this worked out.
Other priorities are preventing me from making a switch right now but it won't be long.
I still have my original PCM so it will be easy to ship them one for a 45 second re-program.
.......just burns me that it got ripped for $300.......I see now that the pricing has dropped due to the competition.
Geez, you'd think that for what it'* worth in bad advertising that they would be more than willing to make me happy. That pisses me off.

What did they charge for the extra programing and tweaks?
The Case learn and reprogramming the keyfobs and magnasteer added another $75.

Paul,
I've spent several additional hours on your calibration and I cannot find any hidden speed limiters.
We hit them all the first time.
Can you provide me an autotap log or tell me what the ignition timing, commanded A/F ratio, MAF and o2 voltage is
at when trying to run at the limit. My big fear is that it has a fuel problem at these speeds so be careful that it isn't LEAN
because you'll wack a piston. I know your confident that it does not have a fuel problem. BTW, I've used this same 'base' performance cal for the INTENSE ssei and a few other 2000 Bonnies that are local to me.
The only limiter that COULD have been missed was the Spark Advance Limiter based on Gear and VSS
It WAS 124 in all gears except 4th....but your file shows it OUT.
Please send some more data. I'm more confused now! SORRY!

Hmm...If I remember right the spark and fuel limiters are based on rpm not mph. The governor is based on mph I think...

Could KR be that dramatic..........and what could cause it if not an erroneous program :?:
Another comment from DHP :
One other thing. The recovery rate for KR in this file is set to above average but not
on KILL! Are you getting a big KR spike at 128 mph? With a slow recovery rate
this would make the car feel pretty slow
