Cooling Fan Bypass Schematic
Ok I finally got around to drawing the cooling fan bypass I did last summer. I used small chrome spst switches and 12 volt leds available from radio shack. The important thing to know here is your switching the ground so take care when passing wires through the firewall. I used a gromet on the passenger side where I drilled a 1/4" hole. I also used 18 gauge teflon multi strand wire and hid the wires along the existing wire loom. This works great when staging and you want to dump some extra heat quickly.
I got this schematic off the web and drew in the bypass portion, I saved as jpeg so any viewer should be able to zoom in for greater detail. The switches are in the lower left hand corner.
This should work for all Obd2 years but I can only say it works on a 2000.
