I finally found that elbow you guys are talking about; but why is it going from the LIM into the belt tensioner? :?

Ok I did that, but then I found another elbow way down below the alternator. Now I'm really confused. :?

Disconnect the battery, Remove the acc belt. (you may or may not need to remove the */c belt), remove the alt, and slowly wiggle the tenioner assembly out. The elbow will slide out with it or break in the process.

Which elbow are you giving directions for? The one closest to the firewall, or the one that goes into the LIM?

Well, the directions will work for both. I was taling about the one that goes to the LIM.
On my car (and I think till 99?) there is no other elbow near the firewall. But for the cars that do have the second one, when you wiggle the tensioner assembly away from the engine both elbows will come out.

So sorry to dig this one up, but was there ever any word about these metal elbows?
