What it boils down to is this, metal transmits and holds heat more effectively than rubber. And while the wire-reinforced, smooth-walled intake tube that INTENSE uses may wrinkle just a small amount while flexed, it doesn't seem to make any performance difference.

I won't ding on JMB, just cause I've never seen one of theirs.

EDIT, is there a spot on it for the IAT? I can't see it anywhere...

ya a hole with a grommet is on the underside.
