Chip Questions
It'* pretty confusing. I know any obd2 they sell are 'modules', and I don't know for sure how they compare, but I don't believe they 'modify' as many parameters.
The best performance seems to be from the 92/93 chips. These are actual 'piggyback' chips that go into the PCM. That'* what I have in mine. There is also some confusion about what models are interchangeable. My thoughts are that the programming for the SE, SLE, and SSE is identical, but I don't know if shiftpoints are the same with different final drive ratios. Or what if Jet only changes the shiftpoints by a PERCENTAGE, rather than an actual value? Alot of this may be proprietary information.
Another member has asked me to contact Jet for information, so I'll try to get as m any questions answered for you guys as I can. The only complaint I have is that I didn't get a cool sticker for my car with my chip.

If I had to choose, I'd go chip. It helps with the shifts anyway. If you're 4T60 on the trans, chip for sure. The 4T65 has better aftermarket support for shiftkits etc, so you'd have to be the judge.
Bang for the buck, though, I'd have to say a chip would still be first choice for all the other benefits.
Idea......how about me trying to talk someone from Jet into coming in here and answering some questions for you guys?
