A caveat from hard won experience:
Be careful with the rate at which you allow the engine to draw in the cleaning fluid (Top End Cleaner) if using the method described in the OP. Some years ago a friend and I were performing this procedure, one of us controlling the engine speed the other the rate at which the fluid was being drawn in (by moving a hose above and below the level of the surface of the fluid). Some confusion between the two of us resulted in sufficient fluid being drawn in to cause the engine to hydraulic lock. The result was a bent rod and an engine rebuild.
