Well, I let my mom borrow my car and it was pretty close to empty so she thought she would do me a favor and fill it up (with 89 regular gasoline) Today I drive the car and its knocking upon acceleration. and it knocks sometimes a little at idle. Im thinking and hoping its just pre-ignition knock, I was just wondering what I should do about this?

Add some octane booster, and lay off the throttle till you can get some of the good stuff in there. Or you could try siphoning it out.

Yea, I tried driving it and it knocked pretty bad, I had no power and when I come to a stop the check gages light comes on and it kind of just dies...

Went to try figure the problem out some more, took it around the block and it died up the street from my house and woulded start so I rolled it in front of my neighbors house and said F*(# it... Any one have a clue on what might be going on here?

Dirty gas clog the filter? It should still run on 89, just short of power.

Ill check that out although I put a new filter in it a few weeks ago. It honestly is starting to sound like a rod knock actually. it knocks at idle, knocks when accelerating (although the car has a major lack of). Not sure though, I wanna rule out the gas before I order a used engine.
