Default car is running weird

so for the last month or so ive been noticing a decrease in performance, when i accelerate on a dead stop it feels like it hesitates, for example it will not let me peel out at all, even then traction control is off, does anyone have any ideas on what would most likely cause this? i have cai and a 3.5" pulley and 3" exhaust new spark plugs and a shift kit, ive just changed the oil and the tranny fluid sense i finally got my shift kit to work, i just cant seem to figure out what the problem is

Test your coils and plug wires. Make sure none of the wires are near or touching the O2 sensor wire. You can also check the fuel pressure. Have you changed your fuel filter?

ok ill double check all that tomorrow, and no i dont recall changing the fuel filter so thats probably a good idea either way. if the wires were touching the O2 wouldnt that through an error and turn the SES on? its been on for months and now for some reason it wasn't on today

No, it wont throw a code. Just make the engine run bad. But from your description it sounds like a weak spark or low fuel flow.

ok that would make sense, about 3 weeks ago it was doing the same thing but running even worse and i changed the filter and it ran a lot better but now it seems to be doing it again just not quite as bad. but that was probaby not related to this because the filter was so dirty it was black

Th efilter could be plugged again. If there'* a lot of debris in the tank.
