Default CAI Is On

Well I finally installed the CAI today after waiting awhile to get the RE-0810 K&N on order from Checker. It almost fit perfectly but the filter was a little too big to fit through the hole behind the headlight. It still is right up to it though. I used the FW tubing and kept the rippled rubber tube on the TB to make sure it was long enough. I'll post pics tomarrow to show exactly what I mean. I like it. It has a good hiss and sounds almost like a BOV when I let off fast.

Hopefully this is long enough. Do you think I need a heatshield?

This is a very good, detailed write-up about how under hood temperature and open cone intakes versus true "cold air" intakes affect performance. Written by Jim Bell of Kenne Bell. Check it out!
