Default Back to my Roots !! - with lots of Pics...

Well most of you know why I haven't been spending as much time on the Club lately.
I scored a cherry (black) 1979 Trans Am WS6 4 wks ago for chump change.

She needs a bit of work but thankfully it'* mechanical only and there is almost no rust at all.
It'* coming along fine now as I discovered the mother load at the local auto recycler when I robbed a few F-bodies for some treasured private parts. :P

Still a long way to go but I know this car so well after having owned an identical one for 26 years.

Can't decide exactly to what extent I will rebuild it yet.

Unlike my baby Formula, this one has the super speedway rearend with 2.41 ratio capable of mega speed on the highway.

.....hmmmmm.....a 6.6L turbo.......

Sorry, guys but my hands have been too darn greasy to hold a camera.

Today for sure I will follow up with some more pics.

That'* no excuse! My camera has been painted with grease from the months of pics with dirty hands. Those are like bugs on the windshield of a classic car. Each one a trophy.

Heh, I'd be too. I am like that with my $500 Bonneville.. imagine a $50,000 GTO? I'd probably drive around with a permanent car cover, with an opening for the windows [still covered with some clear plastic, of course].

Don't be jealous.
This T/A is so rough it'll take me a year to get it road worthy.

Just cleaned up the wheels.

Drained the cooling system and discovered the rad needs to be replaced and all the hoses look like they were 20 years old.

National Parts Depot, the Paddock and Year One know my address.

....new hood hinges, center console, interior carpet, rubber door seals,......and the list goes on and on.
Scored big time last weekend at the auto wrecker with some new seat tracks. The drivers seat was only held down with one bolt, the legs were rusted off.
