In an attempt to keep the cool air that enters the airbox cool, I cut up a windshield sun shield and wrapped it around the airbox. I'm not really sure if it will do anything, but it'* worth a try.

As long as its sealed or somewhat of an apprx seal it should work fine for ya. The shield is a great reflector of heat and the sun when used for a sunshield, so I dont think youll have any engine problems.

I used aluminum tape to seal all the seams of the airbox before putting on the shielding. Then used three pieces, one that wraps around the whole air box and two end pieces. I cut holes in the ends for the air tube and inlet. It'* wrapped and sealed it on all sides. It should make due until I figure out if I want the Intense FWI or JBM intake.

I see you have a GM Perfomance badge in your engine compartment. I thought the only Bonneville that came with those were GXPs?
