1991 Oldsmobile 98
I repaired rear leaking brake lines. The master cylinder was emptied from the leaking brake lines. Breaks were about 50% wear so I did front and rear brakes. When the breaks were bled the drivers side wheel cylinder blew a seal. Replaced and brakes were bled again. I Did not bleed the ABS or the master cylinder. I know this is basic stuff for most of you but please remember I am a rank amateur just trying to save some college kids money. When test driving to check the brakes it is like I have no brakes. Is this due to not bleeding ABS and master cylinder? Any one have a procedure, nothing in my Haynes manual? I am 100% sure of my work on the front and rear brakes. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The fact, that you lost so much fluid, means there was plenty of opportunity for air to be in the system......especially with ABS.......
I am sure you bled the system normally, at the end of each line via the bleeder....
You can do it by:
gravity
force it with two people(one operating the brake pedal while the other opens/closes bleeders with the correct procedure)...
or with a vacuum pump, my preferred method when there is a large loss of fluid....
But with ABS, you can easily trap air in the modulators......a Tech II scan tool has the ability to auto bleed the system.....you can help air escape by opening lines in and out of the modulator, but I wouldn't even think of trying this on a 1991 vehicle, where the lines are probably rusted and the fittings may twist lines....
