Default Illusive 3 prong plug-crank sensor

Hi, I posted a thread on this site a while back about a head gasket job on my 1995 3.1L Cutlass. Well now I am finally putting the engine back together and I am having trouble locating a 3 prong plug that plugs into the right side of the coil pack. If anyone would be able to post a picture or an explanation of where that wire runs to, it would be much appreciated. Also, I found two 2 prong plugs that have no where to go and do not look like they were ever plugged into anything, is this normal? I was thinking that they might be extra for modules, options, etc. that do not exist on my car.

There is a 3 wire plug that goes to the crank sensor on the side of the block.

  1. YELLOW wire. CKP Sensor Signal Circuit.
  2. Empty. No circuit exists.
  3. PURPLE wire. CKP Sensor Signal Circuit.
Bill is correct ... crank sensor.
