hi everyone i have a 1980 old cutlass calais with electrical issues. when they put the engine in the car they routed the main wires to the ac fan to close to the throttle cable and it eventualy cut through the wire shorting it out and melting the wires under the hood and all the vacume lines i got it running but the blower fan doesn't work,most of the headlights work on low beam,no interior lights,no signal lights,and the rally pac gauges are messed up(printed circut melted in a few spots, needles broken,etc). i have replaced the ign switch,headlight switch,fan select switch and speed switch. the t top wasn't cinched down tight so it leaked leaving rust everywhere,and i found the three ground wires under the dash all rusty. i did manage ti get the power windows working and changed the switch for the power seat but it still needs work(bad transmission cables). once i get all things electrical working i will start on the interior. new carpet,new headliner,new seat covers,etc,as soon as i can find reliable parts houses that don't charge an arm and a leg,my wife owns them and she won't share.
