Glad it was an easy fix, thanks for letting us know what it turned out to be.

Considering it now is ignition control related, how is the car running?
More or less fine. Little rough at idle at first start, but smoothed out and runs just fine once I start moving.

Looking up the repair options for this have me a little overwhelmed. Looks like I need a new sensor, new magnet, to take the belt off, get a tiny mirror, a flashlight, a magnetic extension, JB Weld, fairy dust, a lightsaber, a letter from Pope Francis, and so on. Sheesh.

Just to clarify, the letter from Pope Francis is only recommended if you plan on doing the repair the proper way, by pulling the timing cover. The lightsaber isn't needed, but admittedly, it did help with accessibility.

Like I mentioned though, you will want to confirm the magnet actually is the issue before harvesting fairy dust, because while it is the biggest offender, it'* not always the only cause of it.

Hopefully everything works in your favor though.

Another question, have you had the coolant bypass fitting break on you yet? If it'* plastic and it'* not broken, you should replace it as soon as possible.
