You will have a lot of trouble manually turning the crank unless you remove all of the spark plugs, do as Gus suggests and remove them all, then try to turn the crank manually, if will not turn you may have a seized motor, and it will require rebuilding, or replacing.
Considering you mention a previous coolant leak that left no traces as to where the coolant was going, then the hydro-lock is sounding like what has happened, if so it will be to late to fix anything by replacing the LIM Gasket

Once you remove all plugs and see if the crank manually turns, we can go from there with info/help on the UIM/LIM job.

hello Gus and thanks for helping me yeah i pulled out the plugs on the last one i pulled #6 some liquid did come out. Then i was able to move the crankshaft easily about 6-8 revolutions clockwise some more liquid came out so i am going to change the upper intake manifold and also going to remove lower and replace all gaskets, plugs, thermostat. I will let you know how i make out, if you have any other suggestions please let me know and again thank you.

If you need any help with the UIM/LIM job let me know, I know of a video that is for L67, but still helps with L36 LIM jobs a bit, also I have a pdf a friend from another site made when he did the UIM/LIM job on his car, if that is not enough I have a 26 or so page thread on 3800pro.com, let me know if you need links to all of that, and links to parts, and I'll help you out.

Hello William, I am a little confused with the directions that came with the new upper intake manifold it says to replace the upper and lower o-rings (12 included) on the fuel injectors. There are 6 fatter ones and 6 thinner ones, the fatter ones appear to be the same ones at the lowest point on the fuel injector, directly above is what appears to be a washer yellow in color, are these the upper o-rings. Or should i just replace the 6 at the lowest point on the fuel injector that appear to match up with the fatter ones, thanks once again for all your help.

I wouldn't replace the upper ones......they usually are ok.....only time you get into trouble with them, is if you remove the injectors from the fuel rail.......just replace the lower ones......clean the openings good, and apply petroleum jelly to the o-rings and openings.....when you line the rail up with the holes, it will slide in real easy with equally distributed pressure....

Petroleum jelly is a no-no on rubber o-rings. Use a silicone based lubricant on your injector o-rings instead.

Never had a problem or leak, in over 25 years using vaseline on o-rings......

Well I finally finished the job and the car is running great. I have been monitoring the coolant system for leaks and there is none the coolant is at the proper level in the plastic container. Thanks to all of you who helped me with this job, I could have not done it without all your help.
