Default A/c Compresser HELPPPP!!

ok i have a 2002 olds intrigue and i do not hav ethe cash to replace the ac its rattling and drives me nuts so cna i get a smaller belt or a pulley please soemone say there is an option i can not do it myslef anymore as i was hit by a drunk driver and my neck was fused at one time

Probably needs readjusted. Autozone has a tool to help readjust it and Dan has an excellent writeup on how to do it....

ok so here is what i was told and saw at the local garage th emech took a long screwdriver and pushed on the clutch it stopped the noise for a few secs also there are what seems liek metal sahveigns there also it just started this after i had the water pump and new belt put on a month ago not even. so if i can adjust it it might work i know there is no freon as it blows pure hot air ugh im sorry to be a pain my husnand tell me to stop asking i look dumb lol but i need this car.

Yes, metal shavings is a sign that the clutch is out of adjustment. Eventually, the noise will go away, and by that time, the clutch may not be good enough to work properly when you do get the system recharged. You can continue to drive the car with no problem besides the noise.
