Default Replacing the a/c compresser

After taking a black to the car. It looks like losing the refrigent form the compresser. It lose charge very quickly. The rest of the ac system look almost brand new including the lines. So think the cause is the compresser has failed. So I called the local slavage ask how much compresse would cost. The ask wethe it is flat or if has O-ring how do I tell the differenve I have a 92? What could of parts I am going need to buy when replacing other then some r134a

Its usually the compressor seal that leaks....located right behind the clutch....it is changeable with a puller...i would try to find a good used compressor.....also the clutch bearing seizes up....throwing sparks and taking the seal with it...do a retrofit to 134a.....not that hard.....good luck!
