well made a new gasket put on some liquid gasket too let it dry for an hour started it up and the problem is still there. also i replaced the pcv again and the rubber o ring.
OK, I don't have an L27 to check this on. Maybe one of you guys out there with a good running L27 could verify this. Start up your car- let it idle. Undo the oil filler cap and note any change in the idle speed/quality. Put the palm of your hand over the oil filler hole. Feel any suction? Does the idle change?
I'm gonna go out and try this with my L36. Not the same situation, but similar.
Back in a bit.

OK, with the L36 engine in my '95 there is no change in idle speed or quality when the oil filler cap is removed while running. Placing the palm of the hand over the open hole to seal it results in no change in idle. No pressure or vacuum is felt on the hand when held tightly over the filler hole.
Let'* hear from some L27 guys.
