Just to clarify, was it the wires right at the bottom of the ICM that were frayed? Or was it somewhere else? If it was the PCM, I would double check your work, and areas close by, as the CAM sensor wiring runs right along side the crank sensor wiring, and in turn, the ICM wiring.

No, it was in the middle of the harness and after fixing the issue I had continuity on all the wires.

Did you check for continuity from end to end of each wire or did you check near either end of the repair?

When I did the repair, I took the entire harness out of the car and repaired it on my bench and used my continuity tester on each leg of the harness from end-to-end.
