seems there is a pretty good chance if there was standing water the connection is all corroded. i looked at a few of the posts yesterday on that s302, i cant belive they would design it that way so nothing works without the serial data, but i guess they did. pretty stupid design IMO
the second thing would be why is there standing water in the car? i would be checking the door seals and if there is a sunroof those tubes like to come loose from the drain on the housing.

There was standing water in the car because it had a bad window regulator . The wheel on the regulator roller made of plastic while the cable is metal ,over time the cable eats up the roller and breaks . The car was sitting for a long time , in that time it got water in it . Sadly i did not notice when i got the car. So far it isn't to bad but i am hoping it gets no worse .

pull the seats and carpet. you are looking for a splice connector between the seats. i just did one last week. under the drivers seat there'* two tan and white wires. they go into a piece of crap splice that will corrode if it gets wet. dig the out clean and connect the wires with the proper heat shrink butt connectors. this is the communication line between your doors and the module.
