Default 2001 Oldsmobile alero 3.4

New thermastat. Radiator flush. All done by a mechanics shop. Idles a little rough... Runs strong while driving. It doesnt leak any antifreeze... no antifreeze in the oil.... no moisture out the exhaust. But over heats in a few miles. I can pullover and unscrew the radiator cap(on the overflow) just a little to relieve pressure, and the coolant lines make all sorts of bubbling noises than all the coolant flows out the overflow tube! ANY ideas??? Headgasket?

So, you were overheating and a shop decided you needed a flush and thermostat? Great diagnosis!

These vehicles are KNOWN for lower intake gaskets and head gaskets......if the system was properly burped and filled, chances are, you need one or the other......

But go to shop that can correctly diagnose this......or you you could be paying twice for the job.....

Lol...here'* the deal with that situation. I talked to the owner of the shop... made plans to check for the blown headgasket.
Check for it first b4 he did anything to the car.. if it was a blown HG, don't do anything to the car. If it wasn't the HG. Change the thermastat!.. dropped the car off Sunday night, to get worked on Monday morning. His worker got there b4 him and just started doing the thermastat...i had everything in the car already since I was gonna do it myself... (turned out to be to big of a deal to do in my parking spot). He only charged me $20. But either way....he said his machine lite up like a Christmas tree... Blown HG! I just wanted 2nd opinions from you guys..
