Default 1992 olds 88 won't stay running

Had a problem earlier with car just quitting. Cleaned MAF, replaced plugs and wires. Took it out and ran fine. No misfire , no stalling, started fine after every stop. Ran like new. Came home, parked it and now it will start but won't stay running more than a few seconds. Stepping on the gas doesn't work either. Could it be IAC that I've seen mentioned on this forum?

Don't understand why it ran fine one day and not the next. Also going to check wire connections under carpeting. At a loss here.

Spray carb cleaner into the intake and see if it runs better, to see if it is fuel related....

I agree. An IAC issue would usually have it idling too high, or stalling at idle, but cracking open the throttle a bit the car would still run as normal.

I agree on the mentioned check as well, and would suggest checking to see what fuel pressure is doing. Also try and confirm the VATS is not intervening.

Tried carb cleaner , car almost started. Now no fuel pressure. Going to replace fuel pump sensor and check wiring. used to get wet in car so wiring may be rusted. Still going to check IAC but not replace till get fuel pressure again. Hope it'* not fuel pump.
