This is about all the ridiculous things you do that make you feel better, whether it'* for your car or personal stuff.

I'll start, I put my summer wheels back on for a weekend trip coming up. No one is going to see my car and really care what it looks like

Saturday morning drive in the truck with the dog to go get a mocha and a milk bone. It'* kind of like my chi centering that lets me feel the start of the weekend and to decompress. It'* a mindless things and I have an espresso machine here, but the 45 minute trip, in the truck, with the dog is what its really about. The mocha and the milk bone are nothing more than the catalyst to get my arse going.

Yesterday I was splitting wood and came in for a snack, I had a thought and I took a song I liked by Alan Jackson, printed it out on colored hard stock, tore all the edges raggedy by creasing and tearing, and taped it to the side of my wife'* monitor. Took maybe 15 minutes. And went back out and to face more splitting. The way the rest of the evening and all of today went, a diamond ring couldn't have had a bigger impact.

I burnt a cd with some of my wifes favorite songs on it and left in her truck, cued up with her current favorite song so it will play when she starts her truck in the morning. I think she will have a good day

Go out in the shop and do something, anything.

Here in Indianapolis our major highway is called 465, and its basically a huge circle that goes around the entire city. takes you anywhere from 45 min to an hr to make a complete circle. i know when i've got a lot on the brain, i've spent many hours just drivin.
