Default WTH is this squirrel doing to my tree?

He is peeling the wood off the branch, I tried scaring him, but he looked at me and b**ched me out and went back to peeling the wood off. It looks like he'* not taking it anywhere, since it'* all falling on the ground. Quite odd.

Maybe like hampsters they need to gnaw on something to take the edge off of their teeth, or maybe sharpen them? Who knows.

Is it a maple? The squirrels were having a hayday making my Maple tree "bleed" and then drinking the sap (maple syrup, dontchaknow)

Nope, this is a elm tree, We do have 2 maples in the front, and one further back in the yard. I just find it kinda odd, since now he is on another branch peeling it off.

To hijack just a bit, does the sap from your maples drip and kill grass??

Back to the topic: I have no idea what that squirrels doing, then. Maybe The Missus is right, and they just do stuff to **** us off....

Actually no, I think these are the maples that don't produce sap.

And I think the squirrel is kind funny.

Send that to Tim Bedor, the Bob&Tom guy. He does all that animal conspiracy stuff, maybe he can twist this.
