Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

Would I be crazy...

Every Credit Rating system is different, really depending on the Institution. And each can go back further "extra legally" and use different criteria than allowed by the Big 3. But not anything you can do about it. The Dealers can alos fudge the report without diclosing to you the actual report for bigger down payment/interest. Not alot you can do about that either. It'* a bit more governed in the housing industry. The best thing you can do is give them your credit rating as disclosed to you and insist on a better deal, or move on to another Dealer. Also remember any inclusion of a mate/cosigner with credit lower than yours will sour the deal. And that'* across the board.

I'm make a complaint to the BBB as well. They do pile up and have an impact. You may even get help if you complain to the Motor Vehicle Sales Licensing in your State.

KIA is notorious for this. My in'laws bought a van from the KIA stealership, let them take it home after the papers were signed and called them a week later saying the financing program they had couldn't go through because of their credit score (which was perfect) and in order for them to get financed on that program they would have to bring the van back and get into a more expensive vehicle. BBB complaint was filed and the phone calls stopped from them.

Do a google search for KIA and you'll see alot of people getting hosed by KIA
