How good of a car your A4 is, is to be discovered. I thought my Bonneville GXP was a great car till I had my warranty company dump $5700 into repairs between 46k and 86k miles.

Besides, I wouldn't trade in a car anyway. You lose way too much money trading in with a dealership.

I don't mind being one car down...I'm leaving for Korea. Plus, I plan on buying a Ram diesel when I get back...in a year. I'd be without car/insurance payments for a whole year!

The time for me to do this is now since my g/f doesn't have POA to sell my car while I'm gone. She also won't buy a car while I'm gone.

G8 is a great car. I'd do it

I just wish I had my stock headlights. I'd swap out the custom ones with the stock ones before trading it in. I don't mind losing money on the stereo, that NEEDED to be done.

Sounds like a plan except as X mentioned, unless your buying new, the Dealer is going to rape you. Used for used never goes well. For the purchaser anyway. If you can find one to give you KBB for each, and sell you the G8 at market, then why not.

But this is really up to you and what your willing to accept to get what you want.

Well, the G8 only comes used since it was stopped in 09. That'* the downside.

Ya, and I can see a valid point of the wanting to get one relatively low miles. But then, the Market Value is going to fall considerably in a year also. . Pontiacs to become a Collector'* item? Not in this generation. My $40k GXP just tumbled under $15K.
