Started on the radius arm bracket today. Just started, not much time. Tomorrow I will finish it.

I figure I better start on the hardest part, then go from there. The radius arm bolt.

A bit of penetrating oil, let sit a few hours, wire brushed the threads, more penetration oil and it came right off. I fully expected to fight this all the way off. But no, it was easy.

Finished up the radius arm bracket today.

Removed the one bolt and cut off one rivet and the bracket fell off. The other 2 rivets weren't even holding it.

Ground off the other two rivets and pounded them out. Really wasn't all that hard.

This was a major PITA. Trying to line up the bolts was a pain, and reaching behind the frame to get the bolts threw, rather tight, but I got them.

Then, on to my still leaking gas tank.

Undid the straps and lowered it down.

Started cleaning things up. Looks like it was rubbing on the frame

A bit more cleaning and it will be ready.

Sanded down to good metal and then put the patch on.

Tossed a good rubber pad on top of the tank and then lifted it back in to place.

I've done way to many jobs without the right tools, and learned buying the right tools is so worth the price. The only tool I needed to pick up for this is a 1 1/8" deep impact socket. My standard tools are getting a workout now. I have a HUGE pile of metric tools, the standard size stuff is a bit smaller, so I'm sure I will be picking up the odd tool here and there. My big tool box is getting over full. Time to add on again. My plan is to buy another lower section. I like the larger drawers and being lower down.
