You obviously had the wrong girlfriend.
You must choose one that has similar interests and tastes. One that enjoys driving and trusts in your judgement and driving skills.

I guarantee, that if you should actually marry a girl that doesn't like your adrenal activities behind the wheel, she will force you to sell your car and buy a mini-van.

When I was younger before I got married, I always had a girlfriend that loved to drift and go fast passing at every opportunity.
I remember dating my wife. I used to do bootleg turns when ever I picked her up and we would go on drives....to dark and desolate places.....at triple digit speeds all the time.
Even now after 25 years of marriage, she trusts my driving so much that she sleeps when I'm driving at over 100 mph.
That'* after she puts the rosary away.
