My 94 burned the park light switch out 3 times. So I bypass it with a switch.

Once in a while I hear a relay around the glove box dash clicking open & closed sticking some times ..I wonder what that is in the Pk Ave...
Hopefully I wont have anything burning in the near future!

I know it is dumb because the heated O2 puts it into closed loop faster thus better economy but a few years ago I took it in and the smog tech failed it because the 3 wire sensor wasn't stock and the flow master cat I had on it didn't have the proper CARB numbers on it for my year and make. To to get it to pass I had to replace the cat and change the O2 sensor. They are nuts about smog laws here.

Justin Stated: "dont worry about it, just the big brother gps module the govt puts in there"...
Are u are foolin with me? GPS? on a 97? U mean black box data recorder?
Maybe they are tracking me...That car does have an accurate compass...
I have heard it clicking once I shut the car off, and remain inside in acc key mode.
Well I guess they know how often I go to get beer then LOL!

Hey maybe I could park the car at the church across the street, and they would know I'm an angel & wouldn't know that I am really getting 4 cases +++

Art, have you read anything about your airbag computer? It does more than you think...well, 1999 and later, but your 97 still does some snooping.

Recording Automotive Crash Event Data
That is a very good Link Mike!
I am aware of the EDR and understand it is a closed system with minimal recording data on the 97. I just thought it was a good opportunity to get some good laughs in my previous post! Gps in my 97 no. Not without on star, and that is a whole other set of spy parameters.
The more modern cars are surely en eye opener of what it actually stores and can upload warranty type info & Obd codes etc, what ever back to GM.( and who knows if it is only GM that gets it) In the event of a crash the EDR information must be just endless.
Here is an interesting link for 2014 cars: Event Data Recorders
Got any more hot links regarding EDR and the latest news on the spy car networks? Would like to see them.
