when you step on the brake did it feel squishy? it was probably your firewall

I seriously think that you have a 1994 Bonneville SLE. I think they switch over in May.

The firewall was fine, the brakes were practically non existant due to leaky lines and wheel cylinders. I replaced the master cylinder and noticed that all the lines comming in were seeping. Time to get rid of it

New master cylinder: $63.00
New coil: $54.00
New brake lines: $30.00
Rusted out body: Worthless

perhaps you should put a yellow strip on the back of your bumper. All my nascar fans will know what that means.
