For those who use personal cell phones for work.

My previous employer was reluctant to get me a phone but needed to have me available by cell. I offered to get the phone in my name, but they paid the monthly bill. That worked for them and me.
I got the phone for free for signing a new contract and they got to expense the monthly bill. The only caviat was that I had to keep my personal calls on my own cell. That worked for me, and they never hesitated paying the bill.
Of course, I made sure that all arrangements were above board so that there were no surprises for anyone.

Yup, i have Cingular. So the 200+ min that i use on work calls don't get added to my rollover and then when i DO go over I get the bill, not work.
I think i'm going to talk to them about getting that company phone, it wouldn't be hard to not make personal calls on it, just don' t give personal contacts that number. and i'd cary both phones so makeing calls wouldn't be an issue either. its worth asking!
If it was to be put in my name and the company fire/lay me off I would be stuck with TWO bills then...
